The Cure 05:07
I'm going to conquer the world tomorrow I just can't find the time today I'm going to find a voice to speak with To chase these doubts away But right now is someone else's moment That's where the spotlight always shines It's not good luck that keep them stealing It's fear that's kept me behind That little devil up on my shoulder Well he must laugh himself to sleep at night Because the angels way to quick to give forgiveness When I sell myself those lies 'Cause I've been suffering from a self inflicted illness But I'd rather be the cure There's no relief injecting shame into this stillness That much I know for sure I know for sure I'd rather be the cure Tomorrow is today's surrender A white flag holstered by my side I'll buy myself a new beginning Then everything will be fine Because what I have has put a limit On where I am but need to go All those things that have been missing Are responsible you know That little devil up on my shoulder He's a bastard when he gets his way I get so angry that no angel comes to save me But I'm sure she feels the same When I won't change That little devil up on my shoulder I'd like to see him hang his head in defeat Staring down at that little angel for the answer And she's staring back at me, she says it's up to me
2.
Cut Me Loose 04:03
I was a fool for loving you until there was nothing left to give You told me how much that you cared although I'm not sure that you did I stood out on a ledge just long enough so you'd come and talk me down It was the only way I'd get the feeling you needed me around And I clung to the thread that you were dangling So carefully making the climb Did you take my heart so you could break it Before you cut me loose (my neck inside your noose, before you cut me loose) My love wasn't all just for the taking There for you to use As you see fit to pick and choose, love I let my imagination run wild with ideas so ill conceived That if I carried the weight for both of us someday you would believe But what I failed to recognize is that I was sinking with the ship Further down in the depths with every word that was falling from your lips I was a fool for loving you (my neck inside your noose) After all you put me through (before you cut me loose) I fell right through the floor and landed on the ground Alone without a sound
3.
Crazy Earth 03:17
I am thankful for the things I have that I don't really need That I take for granted when they come to me In this world obsessed with stuff There never seems to be enough There's nothing you can buy or sell to fix a broken heart Material things don't make you who you are It's connections that you make And the love you give and take To stop and smell the roses along the way Just give thanks for every day On this crazy earth Just give thanks, for what it's worth, you know you should Do anything you can to make it good So I shuffle through this fast paced world just trying to keep up Realized long ago it don't mean much To surround yourself in trends Instead of family life and friends Missing out only leads to regrets Just give thanks for every day On this crazy earth Just give thanks, for what it's worth, you know you should Do anything you can to make it good
4.
Does it make you feel like running, when you feel it coming on You always brace yourself for something, even when there's nothing wrong It gets so complicated, wearing all those masks That kind of careful inhibition, will put a target on your back You can find a disbeliever, anywhere you throw your stone It's best to keep it in your pocket, remind yourself to go your own Words don't have any meaning, until you give them worth The power's lost in your defiance of allowing them to cause you hurt Thick as the skin It's wearing thin It rips your life away in pieces bit by bit Instructed by opinions where everything should fit It only matters what you're saying to yourself It rips your life away, your life away It rips your life away (It rips your life away) It rips your life away (It rips your life away) It rips your life away (It rips your life away) It rips your life away (It rips your life away)
5.
Call in a winner, if you've got nothing in this fight Because everything's gone wrong and you have to decide Is this the beginning, or the beginning of the end The scripts worn out there's nothing more to be said The tension is breaking, down the walls where you hide yourself And it's backing you down and it's pushed you to the edge Decisions you're making, are complicated to understand But nothing is changing going along with the plan What are you going to lose When the time comes around to choose Are you willing to take back what was taken away And stop feeling the loss for a life that can be saved I'm not on your back I am on your side I just, want to see you get things right before, time goes by If you lose yourself in your regrets then you'll, never see how good it gets on the other side
6.
Say goodbye, to doing time here on hard street Easier times, have got to be on on the way Don't hold your breath, or wait for death to instruct you Leave the rest, washed away in your wake The lines you've drawn, have all been crossed without feeling No sympathy, the enemy's unaware It's come to this, your innocence was forgotten All that you've missed, going blind from the glare You've been gone, but your light's still on On your own, is where you call home You've been gone, but your light's still on You've been gone On your own On your own, you've been gone But your light's still on On your own, you've been gone But your light's still on
7.
Somewhere, somebody's going to get it wrong Somewhere, somebody plays the same old song And it hurts, to give it everything just to feel like it's getting worse Not asking for the world just only what you deserve Somewhere, somebody's going to get it right Sometimes, seems like they get it without a fight It's just theirs, impossible to fake it when you know that it isn't fair Struggling to make it while others don't earn their share Fortune wears you down Somewhere somebody is fighting To accept the things that they can't change Somewhere somebody is waiting for another day Somewhere somebody is learning There are battles that they might not win Somewhere somebody's repairing all the damages Somewhere somebody is willing To be bigger than the trouble's dare Somewhere somebody is going to find their place out there Yeah, yeah, yeah
8.
Don't you worry mama, I'll be home soon Try to find a way to be a man, if the boy don't want me to I see the strength building in your eyes And it's backing down my fear I don't know where I'm supposed to go But I know my place is here Thrown into this fire I'm running scare But for you I will be brave We will find a way to clear the smoke And then we'll douse the flames In the face of these uncertainties You will never fall down to your knees Don't you worry father, I can understand your pain I've always seen you as a noble man And that won't change today 'Cause I can wear my heart upon my sleeve You taught me to wear it proud You're always there to pick me up Now I won't let you down Thrown into this fire we're unprepared For this unexpected change Determination comes to take the reigns And now it bears our name In the face of these uncertainties You will never fall down to your knees In the face of these uncertainties You will never fall down to your knees

Remain 05:01
I know, it's all going to work out fine Hold on, a good love will ease your mind I'll wait, as long as you need me to Don't say, sorry for what you're going through I'll be standing here, where you left me dear Even in the pouring rain I won't let you down, when you stand your ground When you shed the tears, you've kept locked away As long as it will take I've seen, the good bad and in between But you are, and you've always been the same to me 'Cause you're not, and you've never been the one who failed Now go on, and fight for it tooth and nail You'll be standing here, where you left me dear We'll be dancing in the pouring rain With your head held high under cleansing skies That wash away all the doubt and pain It's here you will remain
10.
You better have a good place to run Standing there with a knife you're convinced is a gun You better have a good place to hide When all of your decisions put you on the losing side Well oh no (oh no), well oh no (oh no) When all that you've envisioned is stripped down to the bone Well oh no (oh no), well oh no (oh no) You could've seen it coming but you wouldn't leave it alone Indifference and a bad attitude A toxic combination burning down resistance fuse Too late for sorries or second thoughts When you've burned down all the bridges whether you needed them or not Well oh no (oh no), well oh no (oh no) Stranded in the middle left totally exposed Well oh no (oh no), well oh no (oh no) What else can be expected when the consequences grow Yeah, how long did you think it would last? Keeping secrets telling lies thinking no one would ask? Yeah, and now you're looking for a break Try to chalk it up to oversights and honest mistakes If the punishment ever takes it's toll It can't erase the black marks on your soul You better have a good place to run When it all comes undone You better have a good place to hide You blew your chance to make it right Well oh no, no erasing all the black marks on your soul Time to pay the debt for lies that you have sold
11.
You got me going one direction then you turn me all around I think I know what's going on I should've seen the warning signs you threw them in my face While you did me wrong I was a fool to think that you Might change your point of view My sympathy, you used it up for free With no regard for me, my love When pushing came to shove So what, I say I'm so much better off now anyway That's what I say To try and save myself some face Now I'm going on, going on, going on All the times you used me up I kept coming back for more I let you get away with it If I can't take your punishment I'm just as much to blame For all the hurt I get I've always been the same to you When you've so much less to lose I've always been there time and time again You'd rather just pretend my love Are pushes and not shoves
12.
If you ever see the mountain Don't be afraid to climb Don't ever leave yourself to wonder What's on the other side The hardest things that must be conquered Are found right inside of your heart Anyone who's ever faltered At least has had the guts to make that start You will never walk alone on your victory march Promises are made and broken No more than to ourselves Desires dreamt but never spoken Ghosts of a life you never felt And the light may never show you Things you'll only find when lost in the dark And the world will not control you When your will cannot be torn apart Your course will not be swayed On your victory march No your course will not be swayed On your victory march

about

"Victory March" is my third album as a solo artist, and is no doubt my most ambitious project to date. It was recorded at Sacred Heart Studio in Duluth, MN. I am very grateful for all the hard work producer Jake Larson put into this, as well as to all the very talented musicians who lended their talents to make this record. Of course, a HUGE thank you belongs to my Kickstarter backers who helped make this album possible in the first place. Your support means more than you'll ever know.
